Utafiti Sera, one of the African Policy Dialogues on employment creation in Kenya, has developed infographics showing key issues in the horticulture sector. The infographics show the value of Kenya’s  horticultural commodities (vegetables, flowers, fruits, nuts and medicinal and aromatic plants), horticulture’s contribution to the GDP, key statistical indicators of the flower sector in 2016, success factors in the flower sector, challenges to employment creation, and existing and emerging employment opportunities in horticulture. The infographics also show evidence based policy recommendations that can enhance horticulture’s contribution to employment creation in the country.
