The research paper ‘(Em)Powering the Future Opportunities for Youth in a Just Transition in Africa’ presents findings from ‘A Green and Just Future for Youth in Africa’, a collaborative research programme between the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and INCLUDE.

Drawing upon the latest insights from academic and grey literature on youth employment and low-carbon development in Africa, this evidence synthesis highlights the main insights and identify key knowledge gaps to guide an inclusive research agenda.

It is also a call for urgent action to assure that the process of low-carbon transition is just and inclusive, especially for the youth, women and other marginalised groups on the African continent.
