Sara Pantuliano is a political scientist with extensive experience in conflict and post-conflict contexts. She is the director of Humanitarian Programmes at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), and previously led UNDP Sudan’s Peace Building Unit. She holds a PhD in Politics and has lectured at the University of Dar es Salaam, and has written and spoken extensively on Sudan and South Sudan and humanitarian issues. She is also the managing Editor of Disasters Journal, the Vice-Chair of the Global Agenda Council on Risk and Resilience of the World Economic Forum, the Chair of the Board of IRIN News, a Trustee of SOS Sahel and serves on a range of advisory boards, including the Refugees Studies Centre and the UN Association of the UK.
