Paul Litjens

Paul Litjens is a Strategic Policy Advisor at the Sub-Sahara Africa Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He studied Development Planning at the Erasmus University in the seventies and has worked for five years at the UN (UNDP and IFAD), followed by a number of years at the Netherlands Economic Institute (now ECORYS). In 1992 he joined the ministry and worked full time on Africa since 2003 (as division head and head of cooperation in Mozambique and Benin).
Paul is interested in a broad range of development issues related to Africa but always with a view to translate new insights into policy.
