Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u is the Executive Director of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). Over the years, Prof. Njuguna has held a variety of policy, academic, and advisory positions. He is the former Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, where he completed two 4-year terms (2007-2015). Also, he has been an Associate Professor of Economics and faculty member of the School of Economics at the University of Nairobi in Kenya since 1987.
