Michela Marcatelli is a PhD Researcher in Development Studies at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her dissertation focuses on the political economy of water in post-apartheid South Africa. Michela worked as a Knowledge Manager at the INCLUDE Secretariat.
Michela has a solid academic background in Development Studies, with two MA Degrees from the University of Bologna and the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), and extensive research experience in South Africa. Her work has mostly focused on water-related issues from a social science perspective, with a clear link to poverty reduction.
