Dzodzi Tsikata is the director of the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon. She is also an Associate Professor at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana, where she has worked since 1991. Since 2015, she has been president of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). Dzodzi is on the editorial advisory board of several journals. She is also a member of the UN Committee for Development Policy and of Ghana’s National Development Planning Commission. She holds a Ph.D in Social Science from Leiden University, the Netherlands. Her research areas include gender, development, agrarian change, land tenure, and informal work.
