Ana Cardenas is currently a Consultant at the World Bank Jobs Group. She coordinates the Mexico Youth Labor Market Inclusion project and participates in ongoing analytical projects including a jobs diagnostic for Colombia. Ana has over six years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs in the fields of labor and social protection. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked as Monitoring Director at the Ministry of Welfare in Mexico, where she monitored and supervised the evaluation of over eight social protection programs to provide evidence for results-oriented decision-making. Before this, she participated in research projects for non-for-profit organizations such as Innovations for Poverty Action, International Cocoa Initiative and Oxfam GB. Ana holds a Master’s degree in Public Politics and Development from Toulouse School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon.
