INCLUDE supported the Center for Public Integrity (CIP) to establish a community to facilitate sharing of knowledge and promote the prioritization of local interests by investors in the extraction of natural resources in Mozambique. The CIP has held several dialogues with key stakeholders in Maputo, Cabo Delgado and Zambezi provinces in collaboration with the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFP). To leverage on these activities, CIP and INEFP will host an intersector forum with key stakeholders on 25 May 2017 in Maputo. Five themes will be discussed during the forum.
- Inclusion, sustainability and youth employment in the context of extractive industry investments
- Equality of opportunity in access to employment
- Mechanisms for promotion of youth employment
- Lack of transparency as a barrier to access employment
- Trends for sustainability: Value chain and indirect employment
