On 15 and 16 October 2015, INCLUDE will hold a working conference ‘Policy-knowledge interactions on Inclusive Development for women and youth: perspectives from Africa’ in Leiden, the Netherlands. The first day of the conference (15 October) will be open to the public. The second day is by invitation only and will consist of a Platform meeting and a workshop for the research groups of INCLUDE and NWO-WOTRO.

The working conference will further explore research-policy linkages and the alignment of African and the Netherlands’ policy perspectives on inclusive development, particularly on the employment prospects for women and youth in Africa.

Speakers/panel members include: Mayra Buvinic (Director Gender & Development, UN Foundation), Desire Assogbavi (Head of Oxfam International Liason Office to the African Union), Felix Weidenkaff (ILO), Olawale Ismail (Head of Research International Alert), and Mirjam Sterk (Former Dutch Youth Employment Ambassador).
