Luc Fransen is Associate Professor of International Relations at the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. Fransen’s expertise lies on three terrains: the role of civil society organizations in global politics, the evolution of intersecting international and transnational governance arrangements for sustainable development, and the role of multinational business and global supply chains in global policy-making on labor, human rights and environmental conditions. Fransen’s research has been funded by the Dutch Science Organization, the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study and the Royal Dutch Academy for the Sciences.
