Jaouad is a student assistant at the INCLUDE Secretariat. He holds a BSc in International Relations & Organisations and a propaedeutic diploma from the BA in Middle Eastern Studies at Leiden University. To get a better understanding of Dutch foreign policy and to get an insight into the diplomatic world, Jaouad did an internship at the North Africa and Middle East Department of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within this department he organized the first incoming Libyan trade mission since the Libyan civil war in 2011, wrote several reports on migration issues in North Africa and assisted policy officers with the creation of annual country strategies for all North African countries.
