Fenneken Veldkamp is communication advisor at the African Studies Centre. She studied English Literature at the University of Amsterdam and did part of her studies at Rhodes University in South Africa. At Erasmus University she completed the postacademic course in newspaper journalism (PDOJ). She has been working as a freelance editor and journalist for (web) magazines and newspapers since 2003.
