On June 30 2017, the research group ‘Social and Health Policies for Inclusive Growth‘ (SHPIG) hosted the workshop ‘Social protection for inclusive growth in Africa’ at the University of Amsterdam. The workshop was a half-day dissemination event, to share some key findings from the SHPIG project and get feedback from moderated roundtable discussions. Amongst others, the interaction effects between two social protection programmes in Ghana and the role of the national and local political economy in the implementation of two programmes in Kenya were discussed.
